Well Being
well being At St Domingo House we promote the well being of residents. Physical, Mental, Social and Spiritually; we believe that this is a fundamental part of the inclusion and recovery model
Leisure
leisure There are a number of activities available in the local area such as local gyms private and public (lifestyles) council run leisure centres. All clients would receive a comprehensive induction prior to using their facilities. The local area also has shopping centres, cinemas and theatres.
Volunteer
volunteer We feel that it is essential that we encourage residents to get involved in voluntary and paid work if possible. This helps build good life/social skills which residents can use in their daily lives. Staff will provide support/assistance for residents to take part in volutary work depending on their level of need.
Health
health Staff at St Domingo House have researched and compiled a file containing local GP’s, Dentists, Opticians and Chiropodist as we understand the importance of healthy residents. Staff will provide support and assistance for residents to register with their chosen practice.
Hobbies
hobbies We think HOBBIES are a good way to establish and build up good relationships between staff and residents at St Domingo House such as playing board games, watching DVD’s, food theme nights, karaoke, craft work and participating in leisure activities.
Education
education Is a fantastic way to develop one’s knowledge, promote health and well being. With a wide range of facilities available in our local community such as learning centres, local colleges and training agencies, we will provide support for residents who choose to study depending on their level of need.
